The Chiefs and Buccaneers are set to face off in a battle of two of the best QBs of all-time. If you're putting together a Super Bowl 55 FanDuel single-game lineup, we have the picks, advice,. Dec 14, 2020 The reigning NFL MVP returned from COVID-19 protocols and turned in over 200 total yards and three touchdowns last week against the Cowboys. Jackson has now passed for 2,055 yards and 17 touchdowns. We forecast him to score 23.5 FanDuel points, 4.9 clear of the field. Henry's rushing touchdown projection of 0.91 is laughably high. He has 26, 24, 23, and 34 carries over the past four games.

This week's Fanduel lineups are stacked with very few good offenses off the board.

For the first time all season, Fanduel daily fantasy players looking at the popular Sunday afternoon slate won't have to even consider playing a player from an NFC East team.

The worst division in sports is ineligible for these lineups since Washington is on bye, the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys play on Sunday Night Football, and the New York Giants play on Monday Night Football. These terrible teams might be the only thing to watch as national options, but at least they don't need to take down your lineups anymore.

This gives us some very intriguing matchups to choose from. Obviously, there's the choice one must make about how much the Kansas City Chiefs can possibly score on the New York Jets in the first half before the backups come in. Is it worth it to pay a massive price to Patrick Mahomes if he might be done with a 35-0 lead going into halftime? Well, if Mahomes is credited with four touchdowns at that point, it would be.

Rivalry games are all over the slate. The Seahawks and 49ers rivalry is as good as ever, and both teams are peaking right before they face off. It should be a high-scoring matchup between the two. Minnesota and Green Bay had one of the highest-scoring games of the year back in September.

In part two, it should be just as fun. The Patriots are trying to save their season against the new darlings of the AFC East, the Buffalo Bills. Of course, the Steelers-Ravens game is the one everyone will be watching.

There are so many fun options to choose this week, any lineup could be a monster. This week might be one of the harder weeks to put together a lineup.

Quarterback: Justin Herbert $7,700

Justin Herbert's ascent to National Football League glory has been fast and furious. Every week, he's hit a higher point total each week, hitting the apex this week when he put up 38 Fanduel points on the Jacksonville Jaguars. He's averaging 300 yards per game and has at least three touchdowns in the last three games. He's been a fantasy superstar.

Herbert has been one of the best quarterbacks in all of fantasy for a month now. His $7,700 price tag is basically the first option in the second tier. Josh Allen, Mahomes, Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, and Lamar Jackson all cost between $8,200 and $9,200.

Herbert is the kind of value players need to find. He's still very expensive, and there are a lot of intriguing options after him, but there aren't a lot of options after him that have 40-point upside.

Herbert is facing the Denver Broncos on the road. Obviously, those insane elements kept Mahomes in check last week, but Monday is expected to be the last day the Denver area stays below freezing. In fact, it's supposed to get up to the mid-60s on Sunday.

It's hard to judge what type of matchup Herbert is facing. The Broncos have faced a Patriots team devastated by COVID cases and a Chiefs team dealing with the elements in back-to-back weeks. It's going to be a more normal matchup for them this week, and they'll be forced to step up against a quarterback who has been dominating.

Herbert has to pull out a bag of tricks to make comebacks just about every game. This one will likely be no different.

Running Back: Alvin Kamara $9,000

Going for broke on a running back can go one of two ways. It either ruins the entire lineup, or it puts players in the money. Those who went with Ezekiel Elliott last week hoping it would be a good matchup for the Cowboys found it almost impossible to make it up at other positions. However, the 43.8% of players that had Alvin Kamara in their lineup was happy with the results once again.

Kamara was able to do all this without even scoring a touchdown. This week, His 148-yard performance showed that the Saints offense is still driven by the running back, especially with Michael Thomas still on the sidelines for an unknown amount of time.

The Chicago Bears could be a very interesting opponent. Ronald Jones ran for over 100 yards against them a few weeks ago, but they were able to stop Mike Davis in Week 6. The Bears allow big yards to running backs on the ground, but through the air they aren't hurt like other teams. The defense seems to have options at linebacker that keep up with the normal running back. However, not all running backs are even close to Kamara.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner (30)

Running Back: James Conner $6,900

What if you learned that last week was the first time since Week 1 that James Conner didn't get either a touchdown or 100 yards? He should have had a one-yard touchdown, but it was called back on a facemask penalty. That would have given him an 18-point day, which would look worlds better than the 12 points he put up.

He still got plenty of opportunities. Conner had 20 carries and three receptions this past week. The Steelers are clearly looking to make him a huge part of their offense. Now, the Steelers look to take on the Ravens, their biggest rivals, which could set the stage for who comes out the winner of the AFC North. It's clear that Mike Tomlin is going to go heavy with his offensive stars, which could lead to a big day for Conner.

This season, Conner is 9th in rushing touchdowns per game, 8th in rushing yards per game (with injured stars Raheem Mostert and Nick Chubb ahead of him on the list), and he's one of the more reliable options every week, only scoring less than 12 once.

The Ravens have been inconsistent against the run all season. Just two weeks ago, they let up 118 yards to Miles Sanders. A running back can end up gashing them, but they haven't scored a lot against them. They are allowing more than 100 yards per game on the ground, and four total touchdowns. Should be an interesting matchup. Especially since there are 12 options that are more expensive than him.

Other options: Aaron Jones $8,500, Jonathan Taylor $7,300

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (19): (Nick Wosika-USA TODAY Sports)

Wide Receiver: Adam Thielen $7,700

There are a few intriguing star receivers this week. Davante Adams is coming off a 38-point performance, and he's facing Adam Thielen in a game that always drive star power. Those two could steal the show on each side of the ball. Here, go with Thielen just because he's literally $1,400 cheaper.

Thielen has been hit by trade rumors this week with the Vikings season not going like many had planned. It's still early and there are seven playoff teams this season, but the Vikings could be listening to any and all trade offers after sending Yannick Ngakoue to the Ravens. This could motivate Thielen to play even better this week.

He's always been good against the Packers. Earlier this year, he put up 110 yards and two touchdowns against his team's biggest rival. In 2018, Thielen's two best fantasy outputs came against the Packers. Last season, there was one atrocious performance against the Packers that might skew things, but more times than not Thielen is ready to face the Packers.

Thielen has been on fire all season, and Justin Jefferson ascention gives the Packers another option to cover that didn't really exist in September. Thielen doesn't have to worry about too many double teams because Kirk Cousins could still make the Packers pay. This should lead to open field for the Vikings top receiver.

Wide Receiver: Tyler Boyd $6,400

The Cincinnati Bengals offense has been great for fantasy players over the past couple of weeks. Just last week, all three of Tyler Boyd, A.J. Green, and Tee Higgins put up at least five receptions and 70+ yards. Joe Burrow is hitting all of his receivers with volume, as they are one of the highest volume passing offenses in the NFL. Boyd led them all with 11 receptions, 101 yards and a touchdown.

Boyd is a good option moving forward just about every week. With so many receiving options in Cincy, and Green finally looking like himself again, Boyd will have an opportunity to get open. Only six players have more targets than Boyd does (53). He's clearly Burrow's favorite receiver, and as he gets better so does Boyd's fantasy output.

The Bengals are facing the Tennessee Titans coming off their first loss of the season. The Titans have a high-powered offense themselves, so it should be somewhat of a shootout in Nashville. That bodes well for all the wide receivers, but especially Boyd. He's the most skilled receiver on the team, and he could go off even more than he did last week.

Justin Jefferson, Will Fuller, and Stefon Diggs had huge games against the Titans this season. They will allow yards to star receivers. Boyd should be no different.

Other Options: A.J. Brown $7,500, Tyler Lockett $7,200

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry (80): (Joseph Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports)

Wide Receiver: Jarvis Landry $5,800

Jarvis Landry is having a bad season. There's not much else to say about it at this point. It doesn't help that Baker Mayfield has struggled, but even when he hasn't, Landry hasn't put up stats. He's yet to get over 90 yards in a game or score a touchdown. There's a reason why someone who has been as consistent as Landry in the past is now this far down the price point.

Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. revealed he will be out for the season with a torn ACL. This is going to immediately make Landry the top target for Baker Mayfield, who hopes to finally be hitting his stride the past two weeks. A last-minute touchdown to Donovan Peoples-Jones should breed confidence to the Browns quarterback.

Now Landry might be able to get the fruits of that labor. He's the top guy in Cleveland with a quarterback that's finally feeling himself. Landry has been hurt more than just about anyone with Mayfield's struggles. If he is snapping out of it, Landry will become a fantasy option once again.

This could be the week to jump on the bandwagon and get the value while it's there. Landry is in the same price point as Henry Ruggs III and Julian Edelman. Both have either been wildly inconsistent or just straught up bad. Landry is the best of these low-cost options, especially since he's the top option in what is looking like a decent offense from here on out.

Other Low-Cost Options: Jerry Jeudy $5,600, Rashard Higgins $5,500

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller (83): (Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports)

Tight End: Darren Waller $6,800

Tight end is the worst position to choose every week. Some of the best teams on the Fanduel boards last week still only got 8-12 points from the position. T.J. Hockensen was one of the best on the board, and that was thanks to Todd Gurley falling into the endzone and giving the Lions a chance to come back for the win. Tight end is a crapshoot this year. There's no other way to put it.

That doesn't mean you can't find spaces to make smart bets. Darren Waller is one of the more interesting names on the list. The Raiders were a mess last week since the entire offensive line had to sit out due to COVID-19 cases. Waller still put up 14 points against the Buccaneers.

Waller has been consistent after the the New England Patriots defense made him irrelevant. He's had between 11 and 14 points the past three weeks. Waller is slightly touchdown dependent, but Derek Carr is looking for him in the red zone. He's going to score his touchdowns.

Waller is facing the Cleveland Browns, who could be a nightmare matchup for Carr. Somehow, that actually helps Waller's value. Since Myles Garrett will be in Carr's face a lot, he will look for outlets early and often.

Other Options: T.J. Hockenson $6,000, Noah Fant $5,700

Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift (32): (Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports)

FLEX Option: D'Andre Swift $6,300

For the second week in a row, D'Andre Swift finds himself in the FLEX role. The Detroit Lions running back has taken over the top duties from Adrian Peterson. His role will expand as the weeks go on. He grew off his breakout performance in Week 6 and scored a touchdown in Week 7.

The Lions claim Peterson is still the starter, but the points say different. They should, since Swift probably gives the Lions a better chance at a big play. Swift can break tackles and make people miss as good as any of the rookie running backs. He deserves more of a chance, and if Matt Patricia wants to save his job he will give the best running back he has the ball more often.

Touchdowns

Swift has done the best with his opportunities so far this season. He wasn't great against the Falcons, with nine rushes for 27 yards, but he did add four receptions. The stat line is one of his worst of the season if you take away the touchdown. The Lions need to give him opportunity, especially against a stingy run defense like Indianapolis. This matchup needs more creative playcalling than what Peterson gives the team.

Swift should get more touches despite last week's performance. Again, the Colts rush defense has played well, but they allow the occasional big play. Swift would be the one getting that play, and it could make your week.

Other Low-Cost Options: Myles Gaskin $5,700, Damien Harris $5,500

Detroit Lions defensive end Trey Flowers (90): (Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports)

Defense: Detroit Lions $3,400

It seems a little off to go for any option on Fanduel that is $3,400, but the matchup with the Indianapolis Colts makes this more than intriguing. Saving $1,000 on the defense means better running backs and receivers. Plus, Philip Rivers is still out here throwing ducks on a weekly basis. Even the Lions putrid secondary can get an interception here.

This isn't a high-upside play. This is absolutely taking a matchup, hoping for a few points, then using that saved money in other places. The Lions only have one week with a negative point total, and the Colts are not the Packers on offense. They survived against the Saints, Falcons, and the Cardinals without going negative. It's that type of week with the defensive matchups where this is what should be accepted.

The Lions do get turnovers every so often. They have five interceptions and two recovered fumbles. They have a turnover in the past four games. The pass rush isn't getting sacks, which is hurting production, but at least they are keeping it interesting.
